New Painting Posted: “The Other Side of the Tracks”

I just completed a large canvas that I’m calling “The Other Side of the Tracks.”
There is a lot going on in this painting. It shows the lower basin of the Charles River in Boston/Cambridge on a beautiful summer’s day and many interesting themes: the street-art-vs-fine-art theme, beauty-vs-ugliness theme, and the geometry theme. I also get this feeling when I look at it that the squareness of the city (and civilization) is being broken into triangles as it comes down and hits the earth, then, the water breaks this into organic shapes.
